Here in Southern California, whenever it rains just a bit, the local news channels immediately bring in their star anchors and shift to wall-to-wall "Storm Track" coverage of what passes for weather around these parts.

Tomorrow, we expect a much bigger event than a little water falling from the skies  -- the Supreme Court decision on the constitutionality of ObamaCare. So we're bringing our stars in too: Law Talk impresarios John Yoo and Richard Epstein will be our guests for the full hour on tomorrow's Ricochet Podcast.  Look for it around noon Pacific time. Weather permitting, of course.

Oh NO!  THe Blue Yeti is a Californian too?  I'd jump out the window, but I'm on the first floor.

"Dallas Raines" is a star anchor for "Storm Track" coverage in California?

That's gotta be a joke.

James Lileks

When did BY change his avatar to a Whole Foods produce label? And does this mean the cost of membership will now be pegged to Whole Foods lettuce prices? If so, we are doomed. DOOMED I TELLS YOU. Doomed.

Troy Senik, Ed.

Absolutely not. We don't lock the mini-bar.

Also, there is a new episode of Law Talk coming on Friday. Depending on how tomorrow goes, it will either be the first episode to feature a magnum of champagne or the first episode to feature hairshirts.

It gets worse, JC. The other guy used to be "Johnny Mountain." I am not making this up.

Blue Yeti

1. I live in Venice, about 6 blocks from Rob.

2. As Troy points out, new Law Talk on Friday. He'll be heavily sedated until then.

3. Yes (as Troy also points out) that's his actual name. This is L.A. Even the weathermen have stage names.

4.  I was in the Venice Whole Foods a few weeks ago (does your grocery store have its own rap video?) and saw the crate with that label and couldn't resist. Thanks to James for fixing it for me.

Dallas Raines looks like he has a cold front hitting a warm front with a funnel cloud forming in the middle of his scalp.  That's some serious follicular instability.

And he bears a creepy resemblance to Joe Biden.

Great call with Epstein and Yoo - any chance that Ben Domenech could also drop by for a few minutes of healthcare wonkishness?

Don't forget Dr. George Fischbeck. Or was that another channel? Whatever--the guy was great.

Quite apart from the chance to enjoy one of the bubbling streams of sheer brilliance that Richard and John always produce, I'm looking forward to the sheer ease of tomorrow's podcast.  Rob, James and I will need do no more than to ask a single question:

"Well?"

Wait. That's a real person?

I spent the last five minutes trying to figure out who EJ had photoshopped into the picture.
