Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright!

Man, is the world being mean to Congressman David Wu. I happen to love his fashion sense. Frankly, I don't know what the big deal is. If I had a terrific tiger suit like this, I'd wear it all the time and I'd be just as proud.
Don't let the bastards get you down, Congressman. That thing is stylin.'

Liberals have evolved without a funny bone. That gene usually appears on the Y chromosome, I think.

I'd like it noted in the minutes that I never, ever take pictures of Halloween costumes and then attach them to my real name on Ricochet.

Re: Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright!
Wu's actions seem unprofessional, but then it may be some kind of inside joke/morale booster. Since anything this days constitutes harassment, we'll see how many assault charges his underlings rack up against him for sending a photo of himself in pajamas. You'd think these congressional reps would have wised up by now.
The AP journalist, Jonathan Cooper does a horrible job of linking the tiger suit episode to Wu's alleged mental health problems. There's plenty of innuendo, but nothing definitive.

Re: Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright!
Interesting that the AP article never directly mentions his party affiliation.

Re: Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright!
I need to write a post about this. David Wu is MY REPRESENTATIVE. This picture may seem strange but harmless, but this guy has been a complete hack for 12 years. The people in our district will elect anyone who will vote the party line, and the guy can barely do that (need to read stories about that last part to understand) So please forgive me if I find it difficult to laugh. It only brings me pain.

No, it's actually real. His own staff received it in email and he admitted it himself.

Manu Ginobili of the San Antonio Spurs wore a more sexier tigger costume and nobody called him nuts.

It's the little tiger-paw mittens that really makes the outfit work for me.

I thought the criticism of the guy said more about the stress to be perfect and inhuman in our politics more than it said anything about him.

Agreed, being from Oregon, who needs this from the elected. Perhaps he has a Furby thing going on. Or rather a wannabe energizer bunny, like the rest of the elected folk. Just plug in a battery and beat the drum to the same tune ad nauseum.
