Two bits of good news: A Marine gets "blown up" by an IED -- but walks away with a headache ... and a team at Renssaeler Polytechnic Institute "opens the way for detecting hidden explosives, chemical, biological agents and illegal drugs from a distance of 20 meters."

By some miracle, he was in the same body position that "human cannonballs" use in circus stunts, and the bomb's container must've had enough of a "platform" for him to stand on. Soldiers are going to want to rub his head for luck now.
