Kim Jong Un, believed to be 26 years old, has been designated the heir to Kim Jong Il. He's said to be just as vicious and crazy as his father.
On the bright side, Gliese 581g is apparently not too hot and not too cold, and that's just where I'm headed if things get any worse.

We shouldn't be distracted from the fact that North Korea is entirely a puppet state of China, and dependent on it. Since the Koreas were divided the North has never had the wherewithal to stand alone. China is very afraid of influences from the South, and maintains the North as a buffer state. They're equally afraid of a torrent of refugees from a collapsing North.
China is thoroughly 'pragmatic' and unconcerned about the human suffering they cause.

You can say that about anything, really. Like when a detective says "here's something". I myself have often been located in a region. And then had to pull up stakes and move to another region less easily located.
It's outstandingly interesting that this guy was my roomate at Vanderbilt. There was a headline in the Times of India yesterday saying "Kim Jong Un Rank". I can vouch for this.

It's too bad we'll never get one of the grand wizards of the Kim clan back here alive. Can you imagine what the psychiatric profession could unearth from a close analysis of these loons?
