Van Jones really wasn’t dismissed by the President.  He just exited through the side door to work on a grand plan – under the aegis of George Soros.  It was kept under wraps until the timing was right.  And that would be when the President announced that ours is a AAA country.  See for yourselves.  It's all here.  The Plan.  The solution.

The question that remains is what will be the reaction of these kids in 8-10 years when someone plays this video back for them?

They picked the right spokespersons since every point was utterly childish and possible only in the land of make believe.

Wait... I thought the plan was to kill Romney.

Contract for the American Dream Parts 11 to 15:

11) Free pony rides on Saturdays

12) Free Oreos on Mondays,

13) Free Skittles on Tuesdays,

14) Free Hershey's bars on Wednesdays

15) Free ice cream on Thursdays...

Note:  Those making over $250,000 are exempt from receiving free stuff.  They won't have the time to pick it up at the distribution centers anyway because they'll be working to pay for all this stuff.  Have a hap-hap-happy day!

You beat me to it - the jokes write themselves with this ad. If a conservative group had produced this as a satire of the stunted ideas of the left, it would be dismissed as being over-the-top. But apparently the Van Jones braintrust actually thinks voters will be swayed by this. Who do I contribute to the get this thing on the air?

While each point is worthy of its own scorn, #4 was especially timely. "Let's expand Medicare so it's available to all Americans, just like in every other advanced country" (delivered with knowing shoulder shrug and gormless grin). Would they be the countries that are in the throes of rioting welfare-state hoodlums? Or the countries so deep in debt that they're threatening the financial stability of Europe?

Western Chauvinist - well done! I hope this post gets promoted to the Main Feed because I see the potential for some genuine comedy gold here. The timing's great too, as we could all use a laugh about now.

What scares me most about this is that I know my kids will believe anything I tell them. Someone put the words in these kids' mouths and the ideas in their heads. Unless these kids really have a rebellion later in life they will continue the destruction of our civilization (provided it lasts that long).

Nah.  No worries, barbara.  The One is destined for greater things.  Like King of the One World Government at the UN.

People eat this up. Refutation of most of these points requires some kind of lengthy argument - even then success isn't assured. Instead of jokes, can anyone think of simple and pithy refutations? Particularly the rich paying their fair share; "fair" is a subjective term, so how can we pull people's subjectivity to our side? "Fair" is also the lynch pin of this ideology (otherwise there really aren't any good answers to the question of where the money will come from). How about it, how do we convince people who don't immediately dismiss these points as nonsense?

I cannot hope to find the right words to express my level of dismay that there are people in the world who believe this.

I absolutely loath the use of children as political props. On this the left does not have a monopoly. But the sanctimony they employ seems especially grating.

The left thrives on the kind of sentiment that no amount of logic can penetrate.  We really don't need to refute anything anymore.  Liberalism is imploding before our very eyes.  Anybody who isn't moved by the current economic and social conditions won't be moved by refutations.  The whole bloody mess has become self-evident for those with eyes to see.

Here's a different video that uses a child to make its point.

I wish someone would show this to every one of those wonderful kids in the video embedded above, and that someone would carefully and gently explain to them what it means for their future.

Only made it halfway before nausea set in... did I miss anything in points 6-10 that wasn't "SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND UNIONS"?

An dark Orwellian dystopian nightmare awaits these shiny, happy ignorant mouthpieces if all they were told to recite comes to pass. Van Jones and his cohorts must be learning from Hamas on how to effectively brainwash children for the "good of the cause".

I disagree. According to Krugman (a Nobel winning economist), we still haven't spent nearly enough to right the ship. Many will say that it's about time we turn away from conservatism and actually start embracing liberalism in full. I'd say that if we want to avoid going down with the liberal ship then we certainly better start refuting and persuading.
