I love this.  Ms. Brazile probably has not seen the irony.

Ours went up 46% at the start of this year - and my husband works for them.   (Blue Cross)

Well that would explain why she's Vice Chair of the DNC.

Stay tuned for future installments:

Just got off the phone with my utilities asking them why my energy costs went up. No good answer!

Just left the grocery store, asked them why they weren't hiring. No good answer!

Just left the doctor's office. I wondered why I had a six-hour wait. No good answer!

Elections have consequences Donna.

Einstein should have included ignorance among the infinite.

Donna Brazile will be found to be justifying the cost increases because of her position as a defender of Obama and Obamacare.  She won't like the increases, but she won't find it in her mental makeup to castigate the giver of all good Democrat/liberal/socialist gifts.

She says no good answer, but we already know why this happened.

Although, some kind of way it's the Republican's fault, and Obama didn't go far enough.

Of course healthcare spending is down-- people don't have jobs and their premiums are going on. If that's how Obama and the left wanted to control healthcare costs they should've said so.

Of course, that probably isn't what they wanted, but this was entirely predicted. Obamacare was passed and we got an extremely low and unrealistic estimate of the costs. Now we see premiums are going up, and it will add to the deficit. There is no glee to be had though-- real people will find themselves worse off under Obamacare (probalby more than the identifiable winners) and everyday it goes forward it gets harder and harder to root this thing out.

The person on the other end of that telephone doesnt set the rates or know tge companies expenses. Why would any one expect them to give a good answer to why rates go up? Ask the CFO and accounting why the rates went up..

Absolutely, just wait for the CNN roundtable.

Tommy De Seno

Racist!

I have no idea what that means, but I was twice called that at a Congressman's Town Hall when I questioned ObamaCare, so I assume it's an appropriate response.

This is very real and very much planned.  I doubt that Ms Brazille does not know the answer.  Nor do I think she casually makes statements such as this in public forums.  I suspect we are seeing the beginning of another round in the healthcare fight leading to where we all know it is going, universally free healthcare for all provided by the government, also known as single payer or socialized medicine.  It is going to happen, just like SSM will happen and abortion for all did happen.

To be honest I am not sure why I even bother to fight anymore.  I am always on the losing side.

Precisely correct.  They are not stupid.  This is just the start of the next step.
