I just saw that. There has to be something wrong with you if your first response upon learning of the deaths of 250 fellow humans is to blame them and get political.

Remember when Pat Robertson linked the Haiti earthquake to Haiti's "pact with the devil" and practice of voodoo magic?  I'd grant that the Left was reasonably outraged at the insensitivity there.  But the hypocrisy is nauseating....

They absolutely make them in public as well.  They are my friends and coworkers.

These ghouls love to pontificate on the ruins of national disasters. The preach compassion for Gaia, but omit it from their fellow man.

After the bush fires in Australia which killed 173 Australians, and this year's enormous floods in Northern Australia which killed 35+, our local Greens leader Sen Bob Brown blamed climate change, and even said local coal miners should pay compensation to the dead as they help cause them.

Note that the first thought of many climate change fanatics is to see how we can blame climate change for these tragedies, and exploit more extreme eco-fear. However, when we worry about terrorist attacks based on recent activity,  the rest of us are just hyping the situation.

The attribution of specific weather events by AGW is not supported by the science, and significant doubts have been raised on the predicted increase in Hurricane activity resulting from it.

What is "climate pollution?"  Is this another direction they are going in since global cooling became global warming became climate change?

Well the commenter could have reinforced his argument by mentioning the corollary to that particular point: If you stand on one leg and whistle Dixie in New York City, you will never be attacked by a water buffalo.

I have a good friend whose father was a high official in the Haitian government under 'Baby Doc' Duvalier. They had to flee for their lives..

One thing is undeniable: The ethics and morals of Haiti have a profound effect on their economy and well-being. Next door, Santo Domingo is prosperous. Their economy is vibrant. The same dynamic is true when you compare Tijuana, Mexico, and San Diego, California. One is a hell, and the other an affluent vacation spot. Same land, same climate, same everything except religion, philosophy, and ethics. It's degenerating now because of a moral and ethical breakdown.

Haiti is a victim of corrupted Catholicism which has degenerated into Santaria and Voodoo.

Robertson's words, "Pact with the Devil" are not so very far off the mark, are they?

Every time there is an Earthquake in Turkey, I think about those were involved, not their religious or political affiliations. And these people say they represent "progress?" That kind of progress humanity can do without.

Amen. Yet, there is no cost to be paid by the left for such calumny. All the right people will nod their heads in agreement while esteeming themselves the smart ones.

I surfed over and read some of the comments.  Big mistake.  Stomach churning imbecility and triumphalism over the deaths of fellow citizens. Progress, indeed.

Well, I left a comment.  I encourage everyone on Ricochet to do so; this is beyond offensive and we shouldn't stand for it.

Think how few people read and believed it. And ,adjusting their aluminum hats, went back to their jobs running the EPA.

Are these folk of the same mindset of the Imams that blamed earthquakes on skantily clad women ? Might as well blame the recent tornados on women sunbathing on beaches in the South of France, go figure...
