There's No Such Thing as a "Black Op" Anymore

Finally, before I head off to bed, I came across this in my Twitter stream.
A local guy in Abbottabad. 1AM. He hears a helicopter:
Check out his Twitter stream and follow along. Lots of weird stuff, two helicopters, an explosion, that sort of thing.
We're living in a world where there are no secrets. You just need to know where to look.

So, it appears the raid took place roughly nine hours ago, not one week ago. When the story first broke, I was under the impression this was a week old already. Interesting.

The Pakistani military had to know all along that Bin Laden was on their territory. It's impossible to keep that sort of secret in their part of the world.

I say, Claire's behind it. She's one busy lady.

Rob, you title is so right. I just read through this guy's tweets. It seems that secret warfare planners need to take this into consideration. However, what is interesting is that it appears that Bin Laden's presence was unknown to him or others. If he had known, I think he would have refrained from tweeting?

Ricochet is keeping me up way to late!! One thing I must mention though and on behalf of my husband because this is a pet peeve of his - the military doesn't use the term "Black Ops." Covert operations/actions are more descriptive and appropriate terms. "Black Ops" is used in movies and computer games, not within the current intelligence and military communities. It's a bit of a relic is all I'm saying.

Doesn't our EMP weapon shut down all those electronics? I guess we didn't use it. Not exactly a precision device.
I thought I heard it was last week too. That might explain the lack of Easter Greeting by the prez.

Rob, if you're getting live tweets from the scene of the Bin Laden raid, I hope I never get on your bad side. That house in LA is actually a disguised entrance for your secret underground fortress, right?
