NBC news tells us the Congress grew richer as Americans became poorer.
DailyKos tells us....they have an expensive computer program that makes multi-colored graphs.

I was trying to figure out a way to say that without repeating my usual, tedious screech of outrage about the incredible insularity and irresponsibility of the US media, but you managed to do it perfectly.

When are you going to learn? It's George Bush's fault! There's no need for journalists to cover important events once you've absorbed that foundational truth.
As chance would have it. I was just listening to Peter Robinson’s Uncommon Knowledge interview from November, The Conservative Newsroom with guests Andrew Ferguson and Gerard Baker. Well worth a viewing or podcast listen … discusses the failings of today's journalism.

Serendipitously enough, I was embroiled in a debate with my Leftist brother about media bias. Along the way, I came across Powerline's reprinting of a chapter out of Dr. Tim Groseclose's "Left Turn," the chapter about the alien conservative injected into the heavily left-leaning Minnesota Star-Tribune (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4).
In a nutshell, the conservative reporter broke the story about the Flying Imams, while the remaining newsroom staff had their noses somewhere else. Had same reporter not been there, the story would probably not have broken, nor the strengthening of citizen rights and national security that followed as a result.
The point being, those on the Left just don't have an "antenna" for certain kinds of news.

I looked everywhere in US press to find this story. I mean, did anyone hear that the FBI took Mullah Omar off the most wanted list ? Joe Biden wasn't kidding when he said that the Taliban wasn't our enemy per se. And did you read that the word jihad can't be in counter-terrorism training anymore ? Like Major Nidal Hassan murders at Fort Hood were "workplace violence" . The guy was wearing a full kaftan in the 7-11 before he went on the jihadi rampage.
The language goes first. Orwell spoke about this. How do we intend to stop this ??
Can there be any relationship to these two links (1) Presidential Aide Valerie Jarrett was born in Tehran (2) Secretary of State Clinton's personal aide Huma Abedin's mother and brother both work for the Muslim Brotherhood ?

This is exactly what happened in Vietnam. America pulled out (to the cheers of leftist hippies everywhere) and then the bad guys went on a killing spree (which was ignored by those very hippies).

FANTASTIC catch on Omar -- equally fascinating is that the story has been scrubbed from the Pakistan edition of the Herald Tribune. I had to dig it up via Google cache.
