...goes, as usual, to the New York Times.  Touting a story inside the newspaper, today's front page offers this item, leaving readers to decide for themselves whether to chortle or guffaw:

Activist in the News Chair

The Rev. Al Sharpton, the host of a news show on MSNBC, remains very much an activist.  And that has some questioning the journalistic integrity of his on-air work.

That's the Times for you. Plays it right down the middle.

Chortle, guffaw, or , in some cases, just turn over in their graves. Yankel Rosenbaum for one.

Now a visit to wikipedia is unnecessary, that unreliable compendium has been scrubbed of any victim's names like Yankel, the Freddie's fire victims. He has trampled over the bodies caused by his machinations as he ran to the lights of the media's cameras .  There is conspicuous note of the victims that he trumpeted, Diallou, etc.

In other words, the title Reverend is unfortunate, as is his participation in the human race.

I'm curious about the some that don't question his integrity.  I would question their sanity.

Being a denizen of the NYC area, and a long-time observer of the Rev, I snorted.  Good thing I wasn't drinking anything.   He a jerk.  And lots of other things that violate the CoC.

For another example of this kind of thing that is going on everyday in journalistic circles and on the internet:

Please note the misspelling of Illinois' Democratic Congressman Quisling's name in the articles which are appearing on the internet concerning his apology to Islam. Anything you can do to correct this would be appreciated.

I missed the full article.  Did the Times mention all or any of the non-activist MSNBC news hosts?  Including, ah, well, perhaps...

Although some would consider it a stretch, were they thinking Rule-by-exception?

In todays Detroit News there is a story about Governor Granholm, the former Governor of Michigan, publishing a book on governing.  Why not have a denizen of skid row publish a book on personal finance.  This ranks right up with the Reverand Sharpton.

This is one of the things about Democrats I find so irritating.  They run a state into the ground (how're all those green initiatives working in Michigan, Gov. Granholm?), and then they take a victory lap.
