The US and the Middle East: A Bit of Clarity Amidst a Sea of Incoherence

Andy McCarthy has a great piece at PJ Media on the incoherence of the US approach to the Middle East.
It turns out that Hillary Clinton has a very detailed understanding of why democracy doesn't just mean voting; minority rights and religious liberty are also required. But she doesn't seem to understand that the Islamic theocracies we have helped bring into being from Libya to Afghanistan don't cohere with the principles she espouses in her speeches.
McCarthy has some great quotes from the very prominent "moderate" theologian Yusuf Qaradawi too.

I honestly don't think she/they care.
They don't want democracy (or God forbid, a republic) here either, why would they want it there?
