...environmentalists, the social justice crowd, and multiculturalists.  Sound a bit harsh?  Then you better watch Andrew Klavan's latest episode of Klavan on the Culture.

Best Klavan video yet!

It depresses me that center-right people my age will have to fix all of this.  It pisses me off that wealthy, elitist fools play God with the lives of poor people, with no accountability or responsibility to fix what they've broken.  So long as the good feelings flow, intentions are all that matter--not results.

Why are ideas and observations like these vilified as "right-wing?" They are just observations, right?

Every generation makes its blunders and shows its weaknesses. Some are recognized at the time, others become obvious in hindsight.

The scary part is that, in many cases, we have either institutionalized the blunders, or our well-intentioned institutionalized solution is not properly tended and turns cancerous. Where a federal bureaucracy is the agent, no good deed goes unpunished indefinitely. We were rightly concerned about our air and rivers in 1970, now a bureaucracy has hysterically proclaimed CO2 as a pollutant in a mad attempt to shorten growing seasons and reduce arable acreage. Rah.

We have an endless stream of Vogon poets filling out SF 170s applying for federal positions to do good the best they know how.

Thanks, Andrew.

Conversely, could the road to heaven be paved with bad intentions?

haha, I had to watch it twice to notice that Chris Christie is the taxi driver.

I bet you had fun recording all those growls.

Klavan's barbs have a nice way of making you laugh while still making their point.  Excellent video!
