The Right to Bear Rape Whistles

They're calling him the Democratic Todd Akin. Colorado State Representative Joe Salazar took the floor in Denver during debate on a bill that would prohibit the concealed carry of firearms on college campuses in the Centennial State and proceeded to make the following argument:
That's right: women (who we all know are prone to the vapors) can't be trusted with handguns, as they're prone to preemptive strikes based on paranoid delusions of being surrounded by sexual predators. But enjoy the complimentary rape whistle!

Apart from the obvious idiocy of this guys statements, I'd like to point out that my right to bear arms is less about preventing rape (even though it is a worthy cause), and more about shooting down drones in my backyard undoubtedly send to over for my own good by this moron.

I'd suggest a beer summit with a woman at the White House to remedy this gaffe, but everyone who's gone through a university "welcome" seminar knows that nothing consensual can happen after any alcohol has been consumed.

A t-shirt a girl could wear that states "This is a rape free zone"...do you think that would work?
Do you get the feeling that Joe is afraid of being shot?
