Last week I questioned a study showing that divorce is contagious. This week I can tell you to go read Joe Carter at First Things on keeping marriages together, and Rod Dreher's commentary on Joe's incredible post.

The take-home line from Dreher is, "I don't understand not at least making a heroic effort [to stay in the marriage]." Marriages are models for our kids' future lives. If, in the end, you fail at modeling till-death-do-us-part, at least you damn well better succeed at modeling a heroic effort for same.
