The Recovery Starts November 2

In this searing new web video released this week by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), President Obama is portrayed as cold, out of touch, and eerily nonchalant at a time when Americans are suffering under the gloom of depression. The video's soundtrack (Philip Glass?) is the type of menacing music you'd hear in a movie about psychopathic killers...or aliens. Nice touch.
Recovery summer? What recovery summer? The recovery starts November 2.

Has there ever been a better tool for electing Republicans than the tin-ear glass-eye Barack Obama? Politically, Karl Rove's only disappointment is that he didn't invent Barack Obama himself.

Nice ad. I like how the clips avoid Fox News, which Dems would pounce on, to use NBC and company instead.

That piano? Totally "Friday the 13th."

Too melodic for Glass, because it almost has a tune. But perfect accompaniment for the ad, which is great.

This is very reminiscent, the music aside, of the commercials that brought Margaret Thatcher to power. I'd like to think they've been studying them. (In fact, I know they are.)

Shrewdly spotted, Aaron (I'd have missed it).
