I've said from day one Iran had a hand in all of this turmoil. Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt; in whose interest is it to encircle Israel with a ring of destabilized enemies?

This didn't take long. I'd have thought the Iranians would be a little more subtle about it. The arsonist should at least wait until the smoke has cleared before coming up and offering to buy the plot of land the house stood on.

The two Iranian vessels are only symbolic and not a military threat. Iran does not have a blue water navy. Except for subs it is a coastal defense navy.
One is reportedly a small frigate (the biggest non-sub vessel in their navy) and the other a military supply vessel.
To put this in perspective, the Iranian frigate displaces about 1200 tons. It is by comparison a gnat.
Our frigates displace about 4000 tons. Arleigh-Burke class destroyers displace about 9000 tons. Guided missle cruisers upwards of 10,000 tons. And our carriers displace about 100,000 tons. One of out carrier strike groups usually includes a couple of cruisers and a couple of A-B destroyers and maybe a frigate.
What I think our navy is wondering is if an Iranian sub is trying to sneak in along with the surface vessels. I'm not familiar with the geometry of the Suez canal and the passage protocols, so I do not know if that is feasible.
