The Importance of Changing Your Password

From what I gather from this Twitter stream, @markdavidson is an internet sales and marketing guy. He's also got 56,000 or more Twitter followers, which is pretty impressive. He's probably picked up a few more, too, after the past couple of days.
You see, @markdavidson, apparently, didn't write all of his Tweets himself. He had help. And then a couple of days ago, he decided to fire one of his ghost writers, which led to this:
And then a barrage of this. (Read from the bottom up....)

Re: The Importance of Changing Your Password
You think not changing your password is bad. A friend of mine designed and set up a guys website and face book page. The guy refused to return some of my friend's stuff, so my pal, via a back door of his own creation, went into the site and slammed all the doors and windows closed. The subsequent negotiations went rather better for my friend than the owner of the sites. Ah! 'puters ain't they grand?
Re: The Importance of Changing Your Password
Rob, how did Mark Davidson find you in the first place? And what did you charge?
Re: The Importance of Changing Your Password
I've been following this one too, with much amusement.

Does this explain the @youthcaptain tweets?
Re: The Importance of Changing Your Password
Let me be the first to start to the rumor that Andrew Breitbart is the hacker.

Peter, I wouldn't have to take these little gigs if even 15% of our loyal Ricochet readers became loyal Ricochet members. If you're reading this and you're not a member, please join!

I am taking nothing away from James Lileks here: that's a segue.

Aim for the cat; hit the dog. You should be in copywriting.

I, for one, know for certain that Dave Carter is not paying me nearly enough to keep making these little comments here and there. He blames it all on his truck, of course,...the dope.

Somebody had better vet this part of the story, too:
Mark Davidson's Twitter Hijacking by Ghostwriters Was a Hoax
Earlier this week lots of people laughed when Mark Davidson’s Twitter appeared to be hacked by a scorned ghostwriter...
Well, we found Davidson. He is real, but the incident is not. He made the whole thing up. To please his Jewish mother.
“I don’t need to hire ghostwriters, I am a ghostwriter,” he told The Atlantic Wire...

My guys want to unionize and get a defined benefit pension plan.
Re: The Importance of Changing Your Password
I noticed that this parody account got "hacked" in the precise same manner as Mark Davidson's on the same day. That's when I got suspicious.

There's reality, there's unreality, and then there's twitterality.
