Remember John McCain's "Complete the Danged Fence" ad?

Now Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has an ad out of her own in which she demands, in the sternest of tones, that President Obama do his job and secure the borders.

I wonder if the administration will think twice about proceeding into a legal brawl with this feisty governor after they see some of the fireballs she's capable of.

Bravo! This frames the debate perfectly. I hope it runs everywhere, nationally. (Apparently Milwaukee would be a good place to start.)

And people are asking if Obama is like a woman? If only he were like this woman.

"Do Your Job" is undoubtedly bound to be a resounding rallying cry against the current administration and Congress for the next few years. The people have been saying it, now more than one governor is starting to say it.

Here's hoping they stay the course and don't back down.

Oops, 2016 wouldn't work unless Obama won a second term, which I must hope doesn't happen.  But I'd like to see the governors serve out full terms in office before they run so they have the executive experience they'll need to repair so much of the damage that Washington has caused.

Henceforth, people coming across our southern border should be known as "undocumented democrats."

Listening to the President just now read the inscription on the Statue of Liberty at the close of his Big Immigration Speech was like nails on a chalkboard. Is it just me or has he now given one speech too many?

Is it possible that other people in the center are beginning to find his preacher-like tones tiresome now that he's actually been president for awhile and signed some legislation that reveals him to be an ordinary mortal?

(I know I should really be posting this on Huffington Post...)

One more thing (sorry) -- I think what is so effective about this ad is that she is so obviously sincere. There is no apparent political or partisan calculation here. No tell-tale Palin wink. You really feel as though she heard about the signs, got in her SUV and drove to see them and then told an aide to get their iPhone out. The genuine outrage when she says the signs are 30 miles from the capital is completely sincere -- she is absolutely flabbergasted by the gall and viewing the ad you really sense it.

Right on, Trace. And the weird, surreal juxtaposition of this ad -- in all of its homemade, right-from-the-heart integrity -- with Obama, pompous and magisterial, intoning another irrelevant speech on the splendors of immigration and the safety of the borders....I mean, how long can this last? Doesn't the country at some point have to freak out at the cognitive dissonance of it all?
