The Feast Day of Red America

Ricochet's friend Jennifer Rubin writes that her son Josh was so thrilled by the day's developments that he cooked a meal to celebrate--a red meal. Braised cabbage, grilled salmon and tomato tortilla soup with elephant shaped crouton. While the Rubins feast for real, let us all least feast our eyes.

Love the elephant shaped crouton! You will need to toast with a fine bottle of red wine, or the blood of a msnbc correspondent for those with a macabre taste. (Surely Poe was a GOP boy). Blood-orange juice only for those under 18yrs.

That's almost as red as the district-by-district map of House results. Life is good.

Re: The Feast Day of Red America
I'm pretty happy New Hampshire went red again (except for governor) after a brief, expensive flirtation with blue-ness. Both House seats flipped to Republicans, with a particularly strong rebuke to Carol Shea-Porter-Pelosi in my district, and the open Senate seat went to fiscal and social conservative Kelly Ayotte. On the state level, Republicans took back House and Senate. Fist pump!
We are now a red state landlocked in a sea of blue in New England. Dear Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut, give us your poor unemployed (our rate is at 5.7%), your-tired-of-whining-regulating-busybody-Democrats, your tax refugees yearning to live free or die.
