Say hey, it's our 2nd annual baseball episode! The professors and their manager Troy Senik take swing at the Arizona immigration law, then field rent control, and go deep with a bracing conversation on the DH, best teams ever, and the trademark World Series predictions. Batter up!
Not a Ricochet member? Foul! You only get to hear the first ten minutes of Law Talk. Hit one out of the park and join today!
Our thanks to EJHill for the home run graphic (hint: click on the photo to see it in all its glory).

Re: The Designated Hitters
I thought Richard was a Cubs fan! Why does his card say "A.L." I mean, we've had a horrible start to the season but it's not bad enough to cheer for Obama's team.

Re: The Designated Hitters
Ethan,
In any case, thank goodness that St L took the last of our three game series. Actually I became a Cardinal fan in 1945 at age 9-1/2. This last series merely illustrates a long held contention of mine. Take the Cubs lightly until you really need to win -- then beware. They will do it to you. Seriously, at those moments there is no one I fear more.

In a parallel universe, I'm listening to a sports podcast and the jocks start to discuss Roman riparian law . . . .

Because in 1901 the White Sox had great solid dark blue road unis.
The Baseball HOF has a great online data base of uniforms called "Dressed to the Nines"

Re: The Designated Hitters
FYI: I like that non-members can get a taste of this podcast, but not the whole thing. The Law Talk podcast is my favorite part of Ricochet, and it shouldn't be given away. I'm convinced letting people hear a little bit of the interview will encourage membership.
Good call Blue Yeti, or whoever came up with this plan.
Re: The Designated Hitters
You'll notice I totally whiffed on this point in the podcast (pretty sure that I announced Richard as wearing Chicago Cubs blue), as I didn't notice the AL designation on the card. Where else but Ricochet could a discussion about two of the nation's leading legal scholars also shed some light onto turn-of-the-century baseball uniforms?
I'm hoping that for next year's edition, EJ puts us all poolside in that party zone the Marlins have in their new park.

Re: The Designated Hitters
Since my baseball team is a cellar dweller that has already lost saeveral critical pitchers for the year, and has the rest of them totally in the tank, I am concentrating on the NFL draft today.
