The Bigger Roll-Out?

Quick question: which roll-out/big reveal is a bigger deal, in the bigger scheme of things:
(a) Tuesday's anticipated unveiling of the iPhone 5, or . . .
(b) (rumor du jour) New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie making a definitive yea-or-nay presidential announcement on Thursday?

Either one, smarter than Obama.

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
I'm with the iPhone. My current iPhone is dying, and I've been waiting to see what the new one is all about.

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
MacRumors.com suggests that until some time next year, Sprint will have exclusivity on the iPhone 5. ($20 billion commitment on Sprint's part to save company).

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
By weight, Mr Christie.
By significance, Iphone 5 :-)

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
Left and Right care about the new iPhone, only the right care about Christie.

All this does is make Perry and Cane look weaker and weaker.

I go with option c) the release of the Kindle Fire.

Both are overhyped and overblown.

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
The big deal is that I'm going to be 59. Hey, I'm a baby boomer, it's all about me. Actually, my birthday is Wednesday. Did I mention it's all about me?

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
Happy Birthday Alan.
As for I-phone or Christie, I am unimpressed with either one. Michael Tee has the right idea above.
RE: I-phone What the heck? It's JUST a phone.
RE: Chris Christie What the heck? He's JUST a politician.

No, it's not - it's a GPS, camera, Ipod, toy - more work for the Chinese.
I agree with c) - I have pre-ordered one :-)

Why do we need $600 phones (only $250 with a 2 year contract @ $100 / month.)?
I used to drive cross-country with only a free gas station map. I used to listen to various free radio stations as I drove it and got some interesting insights as how the locals lived. I used to take a few pictures and buy a few postcards on these trips. ( I still have the slides of Apollo 11 taking off.) I used to make a long-distance call home when I got to where I was going "to let the home folks know I was OK."
I see people texting and talking while driving (badly) or a myriad other activities (badly) everywhere, all the time. I think we have become ants that have to stay in contact with the colony. And of course, the coolest ants have the coolest phones.

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
Ah. A trick question.
In any scheme of things it's pretty obvious that Christie's a lot bigger than an iPhone. And probably bigger than a telephone switching station for most medium sized cities.

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
There's nothing wrong with fat jokes. It's not funny if someone feelings get hurt? Thin-skinned people need to get a sense of humor. Christie himself admits he's fat and says it because he eats too much. Who really cares? I know I don't and I know a good joke when I hear one no matter who takes the brunt of it.

Well, at least one of them is slim.

Re: The Bigger Roll-Out?
Will Christie supporters walk around town looking at their hands?
No. Ok.
Christie it is.
