Greetings, everyone.  Please help us out and take a quick Ricochet Podcast Listener Survey.

The results will help us gain potential sponsors for our shows.  Click here, or on the "We're Listening" banner at the top of this page, to take the survey.  You don't have to be a Ricochet Member to respond.  We're trying to get as many responses as possible by the end of today.  Thanks, in advance, for your help!

Sorry, couldn't finish it. After the sixth page of questions, including ones not relevant (video quality?), I gave up. I guess that's my input.

Yep.  Way too long a questionnaire.

Agreed, too long and not obviously enough on topic.  Though I can see why they'd want information about marketing.

I want to hear Rob and James pitching their new sponsor: Ethan Allen furniture.

I tried to take the survey, completed @3 pages and switched to another tab momentarily (or so I thought). Upon returning to the survey, I received a thank you note. I was not permitted to begin again. Based on the above comments, maybe that's a good thing.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, everyone. I promise we'll never ask again.

Never?  That's a long time.  We'll forgive you if you change your mind and need marketing feedback another day. :-)

I have to say, I was a bit surprised with the content of the survey.  I clicked that I faithfully listen to four podcasts.  In fact, I have never missed listening to a single podcast in these series since the inception of Ricochet.  (Except for July, but I'll catch up next week).  So, I was prepared to answer all sorts of questions.  But, I was only asked detailed questions about Dave Carter's podcast and then I spent the next 10 minutes digging through lists to figure out what other things I watch and listen to.  But, I trust there's a formula at work that makes sense to someone else and the information we give is valuable.

The first few pages of the questionnaire ask about Dave carter's podcasts.  I have only seen these podcasts linked on specific days in the main feed, and not listed in other podcast sections.  I saw three pages of questions on them, but couldn't really find links to refresh my memory on them.  They are fun podcasts!  That I know, but where are the links to them?

I was asked primarily about Law Talk. I want to go on record saying that I would have complete confidence in Richard Epstein's and John Yoo's recommendations should they be asked to sell me alcohol in the course of the podcast.

What a pain- not exactly accommodating to foreigners.

A number of those were quite ambiguous.  For instance the website quality and content questions under the Dave Carter podcast...are those referring to Ricochet, the page for Dave's podcast, or the podcast itself?  I answered for another question that I subscribe to all the podcasts, though technically I just use the Superfeed.  I'm not sure how that counts when you're compiling listenership.  There were a number of questions on whether you would trust the host (in my question's case Dave Carter) if he were pitching a range of products.  While I wouldn't question Dave's sincerity if he were to do so, I also wouldn't run out and by things because Dave mentioned them.  So I wasn't sure answering that he was trustworthy would get you the answer to the question that seemed to be hinted at: would you buy things because he advertised them.

For what it's worth, I listen to all the podcasts in their entirety (some I like more than others), and they're a big part of why membership is such a good value.

It did feel a little odd ranking James Delingpole from 1 to 5 as an authority on home furnishings, pets and toys. Personally I prefer him on politics and the environment.

I just completed my survey, and I even was truthful in my answers!  Anything for you guys.

Oh, just one more thing <shuffling back over in my Columbo trenchcoat>: RINO Intervention was listed but not Steyn/Goldberg/Long?  If I recall correctly, the latter is no longer around, but is the former?  I only remember one episode.

Yeah, and it was almost two years ago.  I haven't even heard any excuses in recent months as to why it's dropped down the memory hole.

I'm in the middle of it now, just want to comment that 1) I agree it's quite long and2) for question 12:

"Please rate the IMPORTANCE to you of each of the following attributes of this show, using a scale of 1-10 where 1 is Not at all Important and 10 is Extremely Important."

I would suggest adding an N/A option. Many of these attributes (video quality? website design?) are not relevant to the program but I don't want to give the show a poor rating so I just marked 5.

Also, there should be someplace where I can give EJ Hill's podcast "cover art" an 11.
