Super Tuesday Results
Well, it looks like my vote for Ron Paul today in Virginia wasn't enough to carry him to victory. Mitt Romney's winning my new commonwealth about 60-40 (yes, there were only two choices on the ballot.)
Still, tonight has a little something for everyone. Romney also won his home commonwealth of Massachusetts and the near-by state of Vermont. Newt pulled out a victory in his home state of Georgia. Santorum has been declared the winner in Oklahoma. And Tennessee.
We'll keep things updated here as we determine the winner of Alaska, and Idaho, and North Dakota, and ... Ohio.
Let's break down the delegate counts, the exit polls, who's up and who's down!

It's my guess that North Dakota will give Santorum a bigger delegate boost than Ohio. The combination could be a big deal.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
I won't take back all the hideous and unfair things I've said about Romney in the past, but I will change something I pledged a while back - if he's the nominee, I'll vote for him.
Meanwhile, go Rick!

It looks like North Dakota is going to Santorum

Palaeo: Marion County is bigtime Santorum territory. Congrats are in order for Katievs tonight, I believe. Congrats, Katievs! (What a crazy primary.)

Re: Super Tuesday Results
Crazy and exhausting. But I'm not among those who think it's bad for the Republicans to have it drawn out.

And now Mitt's surging a bit in OH. I give up......

Re: Super Tuesday Results
And what was Paul doing picking up 40% in VA? That's crazy.

Kansas is this Saturday, Santorum should do real well there.

I was of that view, and will return to it if the campaign returns to more positive tones. I'm not certain that the March races are likely to see this.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
I was VERY disappointed to be reminded of Santorum or Gingrich's failure to get on the VA ballot as the polls opened today. I was ambivalent about voting this primary until I read Molly's postings. I did go out and vote late afternoon. Has either of them explained how they could have missed the VA party rules for ballot access? Did they just not care? Was their organization so thin? Or is VA just not very important in primary races?
It's good to see R Santorum strong in OH! Does OH award delegates winner take all?
I voted for Paul in VA. I think he got 40% because he got the not-for-Romney vote.

What's the deal with Medina county? Mitt country like the counties around it?

Thanks Scott.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
I'm pleased that Mr Santorum is doing well in Ohio (so far) - a better nite than I expected :-)

Re: Super Tuesday Results
Medina County should be somewhat Santo -- half country, half Cleveland and Akron exurbs. Tis over.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
Mitt closes to within 1.5% with Cleveland and Cincinnati under-reported relative to the state. This might be Iowa close.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
If Santo wins, it will be by winning the democrats and independents. Rommey won Republicans 40-36. I suspect there is mischief at work.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
If I'd been Barone, I'd have been better at understanding Virginia's third, which I apparently miscounted. Paul wins.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
Still a lot of votes in Cleveland and Cincinnatti to count yet. I wouldn't go to bed.

Re: Super Tuesday Results
Here comes Hamilton. Now the gap is .8%, or cut in half.
Scott was right about Marion, and it's fully reported.
