That headline, by the way, is just for SEO purposes.

But in case you want to know -- clearly, utterly, without reservation -- what the sides are here, who is wearing which hat, who is on the side of the big government unions and who is on the side of the taxpaying working American, check this out, from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee:

DCSC

Note the section called "Add Your Message?"  I'm certainly not suggesting you click over to that petition to add yours.  Unless, you know, you really have something to say to the DSCC.

Do you?

So, this puts the Democrats in the US Senate on the record as favoring government shutdowns as a way to score political points.  Brilliant.

The way the unions/Democrats are fighting government oppression, you would think they have joined the conservatives. The distortionists are in rare form.

Of course, to stand with the Wisconsin Democrats, you have to stand in Illinois.

Here's the comment I left minus the link, of course

Having recently watched a video with a demonstrating Wisconsin teacher shout "Fox lies" repeatedly AND then seeing how much he is directly and indirectly compensated for his 190 something days of work, I must question your use of the following:

"Republicans in Washington are trying to balance the national budget on the backs of those who can LEAST AFFORD IT."

[Expletive]!  But I do agree that this unfair -- to the taxpayers of that state -- and must stop.

I don't leave countervailing comments at places like that because they just report the number of responses and spin them all as positive.  And, of course, there's the issue of being on a mailing list.

It's really amazing that they're making martyrs out of teachers with high salaries, great benefits, low certification requirements, comfortable indoor working conditions, 190 or so working days and fat pensions.

These aren't coal miners here.

Oh, just wait until the NFL goes on strike (sorry, lockout, gotta use the PC word).

If you want unsympathetic union members, they're a-comin'.

Message to Dems everywhere: Please stand with the Wisconsin Democrats. Please. Especially when Jesse Jackson's there. Snuggle right up tight to that guy.
