Stand Up Rally Goshen

Good morning my fellow Ricochetti. I promised last week to post about the Stand Up Rally in Goshen NY (where's that, you may ask? - I'd certainly never been there!).
We had about 300 people, including fellow Ricochet member Ansonia, and the local media from Orange County were there. My son (who perhaps needs a few videography tips but who wasn't feeling that well Friday) took the following video of my speech in case you are interested.
Thanks to all who attended one of these rallies across the country. Religious freedom is only one of our constitutional rights we must protect -- if the Constitution is a living document, it is clear that some would like to kill it. It is up to us to protect our own rights.

Wonderful speech. This should be required viewing for all GOP candidates. They could learn a thing or two about how to get the point across...

Isn't it pathetic that we on the right are constantly having to respond to the onslaught against the country's founding principles?
It will never end, I'm sure until we get the radical anti-Americans out of our government and out of places of power in the media, the Academia and elsewhere.

If Americans understood how much they've depended on Catholic services and charities in the past, and even today, they'd be more careful not to poison the well. Actually that's a good analogy for the "reproductive health mandate." The Obama Administration would say, it's such a small accommodation...what's the big deal? How much deadly poison in your well is too much? Is a little bit okay? No, poison is poison.

Addendum for the curious: When I mention the debt level, and my three-year-old daughter, the videographer tries to turn around at about the 7:20 mark to capture her face with the camera, but she is clinging happily to my dear smiling Papa Toad so all you see is her brown hair.

I know Goshen! It almost feels like non-blue America up there.
There's an enclave or two of ultra-Orthodox Jews not far from Goshen. They should have been there. Key groups need to be mobilized to help shine a light on what's going on.

Rabbi Noson Leiter was there -- I can't find a link for him personally, but here he is with a group from Monsey at a pro-life demonstration.
I don't have video of anyone else's speech, but Orange County Right to Life was videotaping the whole thing and may post it at some point.

Mama Toad - That was wonderful, and thank you. That you encapsulated the real issue so well is heartening, and should be welcomed by anyone interested in the truth. Enough of the sound bites emanating from so many outlets that have purposely obscured the facts surrounding this issue. So how do we get you on the national stage??
