No comments here and only 3 followers? Am I missing something? I know we have a solid group of cable drama junkies here.
I enjoyed the show and hope you do more. This is particularly timely for me since part of my post-election coping process was a 3 day marathon of Homeland. Also, I'm on hiatus from political talk radio and podcasts.
My one general suggestion is to add a spoiler section so you can get into some more in depth discussion for those who have seen the show - maybe 20 minutes talking about the show in general followed by a warning and 20 minutes with some specifics.
One thing I like about Homeland is that it's one of the few "Golden Age" dramas with actual good guys. I love Tony Soprano and Walter White, but it's good to have someone to root for.
Love that the credits open with Reagan, but it really bugs me that they show every president but Bush. Seriously? They even show Obama, but exclude the president who dedicated 8 years to successfully fighting terror and, incidentally, established the DHS? That's just silly.

RJ,
For a future topic I'd love to hear a discussion of The Walking Dead (maybe you can get Jonah, whom I know is a zombie fan).
I one read about a poll showing that, in terms of ratings, Walking Dead was one of the more polarizing shows in terms of drawing a disproportionately liberal audience.
Could this have something to do with the Godless premise of zombies? Maybe the target audience skews younger?
People may not realize that this show is not just about killing zombies. The zombie threat is more like a natural phenomenon that brings down society and threatens survivors as they try to reestablish safety and stability. Thus, the show deal with many themes conservatives would appreciate: self reliance, the futility of depending on government, the importance of gun ownership.
The show touches on all kinds of interesting moral dilemmas about balancing idealism with survival and there's a good mix of characters who represent differing perspectives on these topics. Topics such as abortion and traditional gender roles have come up (but not in a heavy handed way).
So, I think there's plenty here for discussion.
Keep up the great work!

Really appreciate your feedback! And yes, Walking Dead is one of my favorite shows and will be discussed on a future episode.
