This is unbelievable.

In Michigan, a fake Tea Party group has organized itself as a third party—with the requisite 60,000 signatures--to challenge official GOP nominees specifically in districts where Democrats face tough Republican opponents. The fake Tea Party hopes to divide the conservative vote, leading Democrats to sail into a happy, fraudulent victory.

The Michigan Tea Party swears it's a legit group. But according to Zarko Research, a Michigan-based political marketing and consulting firm, the petition is being circulated on a paid basis through Progressive Campaigns Inc, a liberal organization. The circulators receive about $1 per signature they acquire.

In the past, the Michigan Democratic Party and George Soros have funded Progressive Campaigns. Below is what I imagine may very well be George Soros and fellow partiers having their own "tea party."

No word yet on whether the mainstream media will cover this election fraud.

As I've said before, liberals are adopting an "end justifies the means" morality with increasing frequency. The consequences of this particular example are severe, but we'll see far worse things if the trend continues to grow. The political cost pales in comparison to the cultural cost.

Can you imagine the reaction in the press if conservatives cooked up something similar--with a Progressive or Green party?

Being done by the Obama administration as well. From a new FOX story:

The Department of Justice is ignoring a new law aimed at protecting the right of American soldiers to vote, according to two former DOJ attorneys who say states are being encouraged to use waivers to bypass the new federal Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act.

Liberals truly believe that their policies will create a heaven on Earth. It therefore follows that (1) the ends justify the means; and (2) conservatives who oppose those policies are evil.

Dems play hardball in Michigan. They're very sharp, and very Machiavellian. McCain won the 2000 primary here only because Dems voted en masse against then-Governor Engler's choice (Pres. Bush).

This is an extremely clever move. Republicans in this state are (somewhat fairly) tarred for being interested in only 3 things: Calvinism (because many are Calvinists), low taxes (because many are rich), and hating Detroit (just guess). They have largely failed to bring Libertarian-types into the fold. Mostly because about 1/3 of Republican legislators can be counted on to support any nanny-state initiative that comes up.

The amazing incompetence of Gov. Granholm, combined with the gargatuan over-reach of President Obama have shoved many of those Libertarians into the not-quite welcoming arms of the Republican party. The dems are shrewdly moving to sever this potential relationship.

I know this is a center-right (heavy on the center) state, but it votes deep blue. It's a darn shame because it's mostly the result of skillful Dem machinations combined with an unserious Republican leadership.
