Look at this! William Kristol over at The Weekly Standard is quoting sources saying the Obama administration is preparing to support a UN resolution next week that will set up an independent commission to study Israel's actions in the Gaza flotilla incident. Not Turkey's actions. Not Hamas' actions. Just Israel's. I only hope they can get Rosie O'Donnell to head this puppy.

Maybe we should also invite them to investigate the US for committing genocide in Haiti after the earthquake because the food rations were all poisoned. When did we elect Helen Thomas president?
If Congress doesn't block this pronto, we need to clear out all of Washington- before 2011- and start over.

Not at all shocking to me. Honestly, while the uproar of Helen's comments has been comforting, tell me this: how many of you have had your progressive and far left friends tell you something similar or occasionally worse? In her circles, her thoughts weren't her sin; her public expression of those thoughts was what caught her up.
President Obama worked hard to present himself as a man of the center left, but I think that it is very obvious that he is a man of the progressive left. Having anything resembling faith in his support of Israel is delusional.
So, no, I'm not shocked at all. I'm just disappointed that we (in a big, collective sense) elected this guy to lead us through rough waters.
