For those of you looking to be helpful, there's yet another election coming up where the psychological impact it will have is important.

Those of you who know what IWV has done know that we are particularly attracted to those "impossible" races where we think we can tip the balance, and get an enormous psychological payoff.

Scott Brown was the first of those, and NY-09 (Anthony Weiner's seat) the most recent; where others looked at it tactically (it was 3-1 Democrat, and therefore unwinnable, and even if by some fluke Turner won, the seat would be shortly lost to redistricting), we saw a victory there as having huge practical payoffs -- a reevaluation of what was a "safe" seat, which in turn would mean a reallocation of funds away from contested seats, as well as diminished dues collection for the DCCC as its members pleaded that they needed to keep their funds for their own tough re-elects.

Now our sights turn to Ohio, where in less than three weeks what had been a parochial state ballot issue now assumes national significance as the last public testament on ObamaCare before the Supreme Court almost certainly rules this spring. I write about it here in NRO, as well as about the complications from heavy union involvement and likely turnout over Issue 2, Kasich's union reforms.

Spread the word, particularly if you know anyone in Ohio!

Here in Westlake OH I've got the only Yes-on-2 sign in the city so far as I know (4ft x 4ft, "Yes on 2: Taxpayers are people too") against hundreds, even thousands, of No-on-2 signs.

Depressing, but the polls are inching our way as info gets out there. If we had more time and more money we'd win easily. As it is, it'll be tough.

Too bad Ohio doesn't have Althouse.
