Secret Service Doubles as Media Matters

Secret Service agents are paid to watch Fox News. Who knew?
“Had to monitor Fox for a story. Can’t. Deal. With. The. Blathering.,” the U.S. Secret Service’s official feed read on Wednesday. It was promptly deleted.
The agency’s Office of Government and Public Affairs is responsible for the feed, and the misfired tweet was posted by an employee’s iPad who thought it would go on a personal account, the agency said, calling it an “unapproved and inappropriate tweet.”

Blathering is not exclusive to FNC. The same could be said of CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg, et. al.

Must have been watching Fox & Friends. Every channel's morning programs are watchable for about 90 seconds. (Basically, one section between the 5 minute commercial breaks)

The annoying thing is not that Obama had someone watch Fox News. The annoying thing is that we're paying for it.

Re: Secret Service Doubles as Media Matters
Can anyone come up with a good reason why the Secret Service would be monitoring Fox for a story?

Switch to 'Morning Drive' on the golf channel (if you are a golf fan). That show is great. Brett Baier of Foxnews is a fan, too!

I dread the day when the Secret Service nails me for unauthorized and inappropriate tweets. (@TheKennedySmith !)
