Romney, Remixed

This I found hilarious:
What's interesting here is, yesterday they were making fun of Barack Obama because of his giant outsized ego. His grandiosity.
And today they're making fun of Mitt Romney in a playful gentle way, because he's a little bit of a square.
All in all, I'd rather be a square.

Re: Romney, Remixed
If I were advising the Romney team I'd condense the strategy into (to put it crudely and not in a way that is fair but one that resonates even with people who aren't warm to him):
"Dork versus Delusional"
Gimme the dork.

Re: Romney, Remixed
Romney ought to use this as part of his ad campaign.

I'm reasonably certain that Mr Romney is not a lesbian - not that there's anything wrong with being a lesbian, of course.

Fushizzle my mormizzle nominizzle.
I have to say that the lowest form of music suits the president and his fake cool much better.

I wouldn't adopt Rob's "hilarious," but nice.

Well, I for one am happy to know that Romney likes "Twilight." Hail, fellow Twihard!

Re: Romney, Remixed
I agree with Pilli - this should end with "I'm Mitt Romney, and I ensorse this message, for shizzle"

Re: Romney, Remixed
This is ideal for Romney. Rather than fake being human he can continue to be himself and let others put a human face on him.

More Gregory Bros. remixes here. It features Pat Buchanan and Megyn Kelly speculating on whether or not Elena Kagan is a lesbian and the merits of legal marijuana.

Yeah, but he did say, "I don't like vampires personally, I don't know any ..."
Based on everything that has come out in the last several weeks about Romney, I'm really starting to like him as a person and politician ... seriously nice guy, enormous good character, great sense of humor and a string of superb victory speeches. I've gone from no way, no how, to newbie fanboy ... geez, I'm going to have to call Dr. Phil.
It looks likes there's real hope to believe that James, Richard, Frozen, Scott, BTompson ... got it early and got it right.
Dork Power or guess we're all dorks now ...

Ditto. I am very pleasantly surprised. I am looking forward to November.
Re: Romney, Remixed
The Romney team should have that tattooed on the inside of their eyelids. So far, Casey, that's the best piece of advice I've read for a Romney victory.

This goes back to a comment someone made earlier (perhaps it was Paul Rahe) that temperamentally Romney is conservative (in family, life upbringing etc) and conservative by instinct but not philosophically. If that's the case, then while there will be cultural landmines set for him as is happening now, but his strategy should be the tortoise versus the hair and to build a slow but steady momentum to November.
The concern about Romney's philosophical conservatism (or lack thereof) is that in his enthusiasm to be a "nice guy", he may inadvertently concede something that a more philosophically inclined conservative would not. That said, given that he's running against the Nero-Zero Jobs Presidency, I'd say things are looking good that Obama's history rewrites will have him victorious at Salamis, Marathon, Lepanto and the Battle of the Bulge shortly while leaking cash like an ATM at a Vegas brothel.

I don't know if you plan to get in touch with the campaign about this. I wouldn't bother; they're notoriously unresponsive. If you do, though, you might want to reword your metaphor. I'm reasonably confident that there are no circumstances under which Mitt will find running against the hair an appealing strategy. He's firmly a pro-hair candidate.

A good editorial catch. I think I'll leave it as is though, as I like the buzz I'm getting from it.

That video reminds of this one. Mitt does have better hair than Weird Al.
