Amidst all these intellectually impressive posts this morning, comes a report from sitcom land: I promised I'd report back on working with Rob Long as a show runner and I have this just in: He's no squish. He's collaborative, yet decisive. Smart. Politically incorrect to the max. And of course funny as hell. And not once did he try to sexually harass me in any way, which was a huge disappointment at this point in my life. Tabula Rasa, you owe me five bucks...he did not say "skin in the game." FeliciaB, you're in the clear I do remember a "good lord" eeking out.

This pretty much sounds like Rob Long as a boss at Ricochet. Lo and behold, the man is consistent. The whole "squish" thing is a ruse!

At a party last Friday I got to hear some Longian advice on negotiating the shoals of the entertainment business, among other topics, delivered at a pace matched only by its precision. You know that famous William Goldman quote about Hollywood, "No one knows anything"? I can think of one exception.

We've had some discussion here at Ricochet about the need for / desire for high quality conservative programming. So I was just wondering, are you attempting to work conservative themes into this show or are you trying to make it funny?

He can't be that much of a tyrant ... you do seem to be spending a lot of time on the internet gossiping about your boss ...
People who spend so much time on the internet instead of at their assigned task are just .... just ... well, I'd better not go down that road, should I?
