So The R.J. Moeller Show podcast has now officially been picked up by American Enterprise Institute and it's Values & Capitalism project/website.  Our goal at V&C is to make the moral case for freer markets to Americans 18-35 (give or take a birthday).  I'm excited to be a part of this project, and thrilled to be working for the great Arthur Brooks.

In terms of my podcast itself, everything is the same. Lively conversation about everything from supply-side economics to deep-dish pizza to which of the Chicago Bulls' two three-peats was the most exciting.

This week's guests are no strangers to the Ricochet family: Rob Long and Tim Groseclose.

We first chatted with Professor G (note: awesome rapper name) about his intellectual influences growing up and then all about his new book, Left Turn: How Media Bias Distorts the American Mind

9780312555931

Then it's Rob Long time, and we covered a dizzying array of topics, including: the GOP field, the wisdom of Thomas Sowell, and the lack of humor on the Right.

You can listen to the interviews here, or find us on iTunes.  If you get a chance to listen, please do let me know what you think.  The Ricochet audience is the smartest on the web, and I value the insights and feedback one can always find here!

(Note: other recent guests include Michael Medved, National Review editor Rich Lowry, the a fore mentioned Arthur Brooks, and Ben Shapiro)

You a Spacehog fan?  We only use 90's music for our bumper music.  Glad you liked it, and the interview!

Question for Tim Groseclose: You mentioned Popper as a philosopher to read. Excellent choice, of course. Any opinion of Robert Nozick? I've read his Anarchy, State and Utopia (excellent, eye-opening) and his Examined Life (some excellent stuff, but a little choppy).

Working on that.  We're trying to get things set up on the new AEI site.  Should be ready later this week.  You can just download the episode to your computer by clicking on the link below the Media Player at the bottom of the post: http://rjmoeller.com/2011/10/rob-long-dr-tim-groseclose/

It's almost impossible not to enjoy a conversation with Mr. Long.  Even if you're just listening in on it.  Thanks for listening!

Sorry to get to your podcast so late, but it was excellent, You're definitely on the the right track, meaning a combination of relaxed and informative. Only one small point, can you do something about the reverb? In your interview with Tim Groseclose, R.J., you sound as if you're speaking in an empty warehouse.

Thanks for the review!  Appreciate it.  We're working out the kinks in the sound department.  Couldn't agree with you more.
