It happened this morning, about 55 minutes into the podcast.  Rob--so busy supervising casting and screenwriting for his new show just now that it may take him another day or two to appear here to explain himself--Rob finally came right out and said it:

"I'm for Romney."

Kudos to Rob Long for being intellectually honest: either we think it's important to defeat Barack Obama or we don't.

It will be interesting to hear what his reasons are.

Let's hope Mitt Romney 2014 and Mitt Romney 2012 are the same Romney. I'm a little afraid that it's like hoping that Newt Gingrich is married to the same woman two years from now. It's very likely, but with him, you never know.

Or we think it's important and we can't.

That's what happens when Ann Coulter gives you a wedgie and takes your lunch money 30 days in a row.

Welcome aboard Rob!

Everybody else here loves our candidate too. So no worries on that score.

So apparently, because I favor a different candidate, I am 1) intellectually dishonest, and 2) don't think it's important to defeat Barack Obama.

Lots of strong conservatives, like myself, think Romney, of all these weak choices we have, is the only one who even has a chance in November. Has nothing to do with being a "squishy RINO."

Isn't the first step of any recovery program admitting that you have a problem?  :-)

Or put another way, when translated into reality, I'm for beating Obama.
