Ricochet on the Radio
The wait is over. At least for those steadfast holdouts who refuse to participate in this passing fad called the Internet. Ricochet's Hinderaker-Ward Experience (HWX) returns to terrestrial radio Saturday morning. That would be TOMORROW for those steadfast holdouts who also refuse to adopt that passing fad called the Gregorian calendar.
John Hinderaker and I will be on Twin Cities News Talk tomorrow from 11am until 2pm (central). In the Twin Cities tune in to 1130 on the AM dial. Worldwide streaming LIVE here.
In the 11:00 hour we’ll be joined by Steven Hayward, author of the wildly entertaining Politically Incorrect Guide to the Presidents.
In the noon hour we’ll talk all things Wisconsin and we’ll be joined by Politico's national reporter James Hohmann. He’ll have a report as a first-person eye witness to all the Walker recall related activity.
In 1:00 hour we’re happy to be joined by the legendary Mike Nelson of Rifftrax. We’ll talk about the latest developments in sardonic real time movie criticism and call up some memories of his old Mystery Science Theater 3000 days.
Then we’ll be joined by GOP endorsed candidate in Minnesota’s 4th Congressional District, Tony Hernandez. He’s running against entrenched incumbent Betty McCollum and we’ll be dreaming the supposedly impossible dream of a GOP victory. Tony is a terrific guy, a terrific candidate and I for one am saying he has a chance.
Plus Loon of the Week and This Week in Gatekeeping. And callers welcome, please join in at 651-989-5855.
It should be a fast and furious three hours, we hope you can join us!

Re: Ricochet on the Radio
I am used to podcasting HWX. Are you prepared to explain to my beloved why I am being inadequately productive on the kitchen remodel she has sprung on me, between Noon and 3 (Eastern), on a Saturday?
You do realize, she will be mumbling important things towards me, as I redo the ceiling, requiring me to hit no "Pause" button that exists, to find out she really must clip all of the dog's toenails?
No, this will never work.
However, she does have to leave for work during your second hour, so please do nothing interesting, before that.
Thank you in advance.

You better be good. Sue Jeffers left big shoes to fill. :)

We promise to work in 3 or 4 tips on the proper use of a reciprocating saw. Honey, I'm doing research!
Re: Ricochet on the Radio
She has huge shoes. We were in the studio today and the clogs she left behind were like size 14. I can only promise to fill one of those shoes.

Does this mean that you are not doing any more podcasts?

Re: Ricochet on the Radio
Like George Jetson I am shunning all things terrestrial, so please tell me you guys are recording this show for podcast as well.

Re: Ricochet on the Radio
Will this be the first hybrid radio show/podcast for Ricochet? Seems like a cool way to promote the site.
I used to love the the WWTC version of the show. While the HWX has gotten better since it launched, I've always though a radio audience was what was missing. Good luck guys!

Re: Ricochet on the Radio
Congrats on getting a radio gig again! The one thing missing from the podcast was the listener calls. I hope your former callers find you, especially one older gentleman who called a few times, and whose voice we used to hear in the opening montage: "There should be fistfights on the floor of this Congress" or words to that effect.
Also, put this back in the opening: "We are the wind beneath the right wing!" I always liked that.
I do hope you continue to podcast it as well. Yeti?
