Ricochet Members Opine, Washington Post Takes Note
Remember Ricochet Member Ken Sweeney's great post from this past spring, "John Boehner is Bob Michel in Wolf's Clothing"? Turns out Washington Post's Steven Mufson did, and it turned up in his column this weekend:
Conservatives who worry that Boehner will cut a deal with the White House have compared the current speaker to Michel, now 88 and retired from Congress. In 2009, radio commentator Rush Limbaugh called Michel the “most compliant loser on the face of the Earth,” and Boehner has been decried as “Bob Michel in Wolf’s Clothing” on the conservative blog Ricochet. The blogger blasted Michel as “a perpetual compromiser” who “had no stomach for confrontation.”
Empowering Members to speak out on issues that are important to them in order to influence the national conversation is a huge reason why Rob and Peter created Ricochet, and it makes me proud to see us inching ever closer to fulfilling that mission. Kudos to Ken!

This is great! This is, as Diane says, exactly why we wanted to create Ricochet -- so that the people who talk for a living could hear from the people who work for a living.
