Ricochet Meetups -- Coming Soon to a City Near You
One of the great virtues of Ricochet members is how seriously they take the notion that membership here isn't simply a subscription -- it's being part of a community. And nothing demonstrates this trait more than our member-initiated meetups, which have been bringing together members and contributors through the nation (and, in some cases, the world). This year, we've already had meetups in California, Georgia, and Texas.
As a reminder, you can keep track of these events through the special Upcoming Meetups page, accessible from the Member Feed. If you haven't had the chance to attend one of these gatherings yet, we encourage you to organize one in your community (you can announce it via a post on the Member Feed and the editors will make sure it gets added to the meetups page) or sign up for one that's already scheduled. RSVPs are currently being collected for three upcoming meetups. If you're thinking about attending, help out your hosts and shoot them a message to let them know that you'll be there. We're just about to announce on the Member Feed another one: San Francisco on June 5. We've been invited to dove-tail this with an AEI event, so we don't yet know the exact time.
Also, there's a large meet-up being planned for Minneapolis in conjunction with the Power Line folks. Its date hasn't been set, to my knowledge.

I think that Ricochet needs to create a calendar application to foster the creation of more of these events. Blog posts aren't the most efficient Program Management System.
