From our member Larry Koler:
Commies smell weakness -- that's how they got to be Commies.
I've got nothing to add to that, really.

Kudos to the sloganeer.
But maybe the Chinese have run out of things to buy from our quisling corporations, and all that's left is bluster and bluff.
Wasn't bluff on sale the other day at 1600 Pennsylvania ?

I am a fan of LK's posts because of the good old-fashioned horse sense they consistently reflect!

Re: Ricochet Comment of the Day
Substitute "gangsters" for "commies" and you arrive at the heart of the matter.
A successful gangster sizes you up, watches your body language, smells your fear and reads you. He knows before you do where your weakness lies. It's only a partial understanding of human nature but, man, can it be effective.....

(Thanks, flownover and Elizabeth.)
Michael: You've got the genus correct. They are all gangsters and thugs. All Communist dictatorships have been just the latest in clever ways for gangsters to take over a country. All the high-brow intellectual clap-trap is just diversionary window dressing that is adjusted for these times when there is greater literacy than before.

Don't forget the quote attributed to Osama Bin Laden at the beginning of Lawrence Wright's brillant book on 09.11.2001, The Looming Tower.
I paraphrase " When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse".
So keep in mind, radical jihadists are the most prominent world bullies and smell weakness just like all the bullies do ---whoever they may be.
