Thanks to everyone who attended. It was great to meet you all. Looking at the pictures I feel like I didn't get to talk to everyone enough. We'll have to do it again. I suggest next year when I bring my daughter for her college visit (she is loving debate camp at Stanford).
It's the vast right-wing conspiracy. They look dangerous, don't they? Ricoteers, please identify yourselves if you wish. That's me in the last picture, between George and Peter. The one in the blue and white sundress, without the beard.

Re: Rico pizza
Thanks for the pics.
As these get-togethers become more common, Riochet needs to add a Social section specifically for arranging them.

Re: Rico pizza
It is not that common that I will click on an contributer image on Ricochet, but I will guess that yours along with flownovers (which is the guy with the big "hat" I guess) is among the most clicked-on.
If there is a story there, it seems like it might be a good one. Or maybe it is just.."Well I was at home playing Gotterdamerung with my kids and wearing my armour and I had this large stuffed horse behind my computer while the fan was blowing so I snapped a shot."

Re: Rico pizza
Too many jovial smiles, it just increases my disappointment at not being able to join all of you. Ah the Central Valley and the Bay Area, so close and yet so far.
Re: Rico pizza
The gathering was lots of fun. I'll take credit for that excellent picture on the bottom, PJS :)

Re: Rico pizza
Thanks so much PJS and Diane for setting this up. I had a blast; the atmosphere was great, conversation was fascinating, and I got to meet some fantastic folks.

Close. The picture is of Deborah Voight. It's a promo picture for the Metropolitan Opera's new Ring cycle. I can hardly wait to see it! We do own a big white horse, though.

Re: Rico pizza
Her pictures (and yours) were better than mine, I guess. :)
I can identify myself more easily than everyone else. Just match my profile avatar with the pics. :)
I had a lot of fun and had a great time. Thanks for the pics Patty.

Re: Rico pizza
I'm a little worried about the upcoming Seattle gathering since I don't own a pair of khaki pants. I guess jeans and flannel will work since it is Seattle.

Dress comfortably and enjoy yourself. I can promise you no one will be paying much attention with the great conversations you'll be having. Enjoy your soiree.

Indeed. It would also help if we had a way to search member profiles to find the people in our respective areas. For instance I have no idea how many members are in the Atlanta metro area where I live.

This needs to happen more often than once a year!

Re: Rico pizza
Great evening! (And pretty good pizza too) As Mark said, once a year is not enough.
(And I'm the one between George and Peter...with the beard)

Are you still trying to get John and Cecilia to sign up? Don't quit.
