Little Green Footballs reports:
I took the photo into Photoshop and increased the exposure to lighten the dark areas, and discovered that they didn’t just crop out the knife and blood — they also cropped out another badly injured Israeli soldier lying on the floor.
It's a charade as stunning to me as some of the more poorly-orchestrated trysts we've seen from our disgraced politicians. Do they not think they'll be caught? Because they're -- bow, scrape -- wire services? Those days, if they ever existed, are over now.

How do we draw the distinction between the seemingly innocuous alteration of photographs a la Photoshop, and the falsification of the historical record itself? As the Soviets displayed, they are one and the same. I'm sure you've seen these before, but if not, a word of explanation. The first photo shows Lenin and Trotsky in a crowd. In the second photo, under Stalin's orders, Trotsky's image has been completely expunged. It's as though he never existed. I always found it impressive that the Soviets managed to alter hundreds of photographs before the advent of photoshop.

Charles Johnson may have gone off the deep end on many things, but at least he is still good for exposing Fauxtography used to frame Israel....
