Recently, I launched the Prosperity Podcast, a podcast dedicated to our shared goals of cutting spending, paying down the debt, and getting our fiscal house in order. For our inaugural episode, my good friend Senator Marco Rubio of Florida joined us to discuss the need for a Balanced Budget Amendment, how we can stop the out of control spending by Democrats in Washington, and our chance of a Republican takeover of the Senate in 2012. I'd encourage you to tune in for our conversation and visit ProsperityPAC.com for more information. Listen below (direct link here) and please subscribe on iTunes to get future episodes.

To the Honorable Mr.Ryan and and the Honorable Mr. Rubio--thank you so much for your principled leadership in Washington. You are setting exactly the right example, and we are grateful that you have been willing to fight these necessary battles in spite of the cost to your families. You represent what is best about this country.

And to Rob and Peter and the whole Ricochet team--thank you for having created an environment of such quality that these two gentlemen found it worth their time to come here and converse with us. Keep up the good work.

 Thank you Congressman Paul.

I have been continually discouraged at the horrible messaging by Republican leadership throughout all of these most recent spending fights (not to mention the presidential candidates).  The pandering to the press and decision making via poll have done much to undermine any credibility our federal government had.  The Truth is the best weapon available in this discussion yet I still witness the same old political backside covering at every turn.  Your podcast is a sterling example of the kind of frank talk that is needed to clear away the fog of political discourse that continually obscures our sight.

Ryan and Rubio on Ricochet.  All my correspondents who ignored me when I told them this was a worthwhile site are really going to envy me my grandfathered early-adopter membership fee when the Obama-Reid-Pelosi hyper-inflation drives the price of a Starbucks coffee to $20.

The debt limit battle is past, and Congress is away until September(?)

I suppose the messaging gurus would advise tackling only one crisis at a time, but I think I hear Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio telling us that we can't wait for the Debt Commission to assemble and start. We conservatives need to get in the game now. After all, I doubt Ryan and Rubio would waste the time on a podcast if they didn't want to get into the game right now.

Where's the next battle? Ryan said that he heard testimony from Kathleen Sebelius, and here's a link. Ryan's right -- it's scary.

Listening to this podcast gives me renewed hope for America's future - there ARE representatives who act like adults and are eager to get to the helm and actually deal with our problems!

Excellent!  Another tool to help us get out the word on budget matters.

Well I guess the Ricochetois haven't been successful in recruiting Rep. Ryan to the GOP presidential field, but recruiting him to Richochet is a fine and unexpected consolation prize.

I don't know the exact technical term, but the audio volume is very low, too soft really.  Perhaps the microphone gain can be increased in the next one, or, as they say, whatever.

Someone please allow feedback to Ryan on his podcast.   I don't do Itunes and I see a lot of others who may avoid that also. Please add an RSS feed for these podcasts and even the articles.

It is not about technology challenged. It is more about caution in getting to wrapped up with Apple.
