We started anticipating this night the day that Mitt Romney chose Paul Ryan as his running mate. And now it's finally here.
Come join Ricochet members and contributors on the Member Feed tonight for our vice presidential debate live chat (and help us break last week's record high for participation). The festivities start at 8:45 PM Eastern/5:45 PM Pacific. And remember: membership is required.

I would guess the debate will come down to is who looks like the alpha dog; who can talk over the other candidate and make him pause, who is loudest and most brash, and who physically and asserts himself. This will be not about content. I'm worried that it's advantage Biden.

The live chat is indeed a great feature for members.
I do have a question for other members regarding the live chat: is there any way to resize the chat window to something more approaching full screen? I’m wondering if that feature is there and I’ve simply missed it.
The chat is often scrolling by so quickly it’s a challenge to track the conversation and even when I attempt to use the scroll bar it keeps bouncing around due to all the new entries being added. I think that having a larger chat window (vertically) would help alleviate this issue.

Depending on what browser you use, the basic method is to right click the chat window->this frame->view only this frame (or open it in a new tab/window), then on the address bar the url will contain size parameters such as width=550/height=650. Change those parameters in the address bar and hit enter. That's the way I do it on either IE or firefox.
