Looks like Obama has a newfound love for Teddy Roosevelt. (Note: links to NPR, found it on Twitter, would never go there of my own free will, I’ll support subsidizing news and entertainment when they start making historical romances set in space)
Not too earth-shattering, though, to hear our president’s speechwriters want to invoke the spirit of our mustachioed, macho, child’s-toy-namesake. Obama’s been walking softly and carrying a policy-making bludgeon for awhile.

Its difficult to picture Teddy wearing a bike helmet and thinking "Big Game" resides on the 9th hole and a dog leg left.

Obama is playing with fire here.
I heartily expect to see the ghost of Teddy Roosevelt take a break from hunting Sasquatch in order to ride down Pennsylvania Ave on the back of a specially-trained attack moose, with Josiah the Badger at his side, brandishing a custom-made Fox Company shotgun, and hungry for the president's soul.

It's good that the only show on television that I care about is on HBO. It's the antidote to publicly funded entertainment.
