The protesters occupying Wall Street are overwhelmingly white, ill-educated on the issues they're protesting, making noise about how terrible our black President is, and turning violent. My, it's almost as if they're a perfect representation of what the media says the tea party is.

Well, they are supposed to be the leftist response to the Tea Party, maybe this is just another manifestation of leftist projection.

Projection --- it is when someone finds qualities in another (real or imagined) that they have them self.

The talking heads on the left appear particularly adapt in this quality. Someone should remind them of Al Gore Sr.'s voting record. Perhaps even Eugene "Bull" Connor's party affiliation, or even the late Sen. Byrd's other social affiliations. The comments that Bill Clinton, Sen. Reid and other prominent members of the democrat caucus have made about President Obama - both while he was a candidate as well as after he became president.

The river of racism runs as long as de' nile on the left side of the isle.

I'm surprised to see so many high profile Democrats rushing to make this the Left's Tea Party. This rabble is anarchist/communist and I suspect we'll see - violent. I think they're making a mistake in embracing these people.

Yep, projection. I hope they clean up after themselves, like the Tea Party do.

But of course they won't - that's for the Government to do.

Hey, at least they have taken off their slippers, and put on their marching boots.

I'm less surprised.  Jonah Goldberg made a very good point about this - if the Democrats don't make a move to co-opt OccupyWallStreet, they run the risk that it will drain the young volunteers that will supply their 2012 ground game.

I'm not surprised either.  After all, if they really are against capitalist cronyism and bail outs, look no further than Obama's gift to GM, Solyndra and now Nancy Pelosi's government handout to her brother's alternative energy company.  They're taking the play from the Godfather.  "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

There's an Occupy Tampa branch camping out today a few miles west of me.  I might swing over and see if they are equally uninformed.

I know there are several other cities where such protests are springing up.  I'm curious to know if the same characteristics are present at all the "occupy" protests, or does NYC's insular crowd supply it?

Every time one of them says "We are the 99%," I can't help but hear "We are Borg."

Hmm violent, you think so?

Wait, well look see here! It seems our old, fun loving, domestic terrorist Mr. Ayers has released the latest Occupy Wall Street! Collective statement of the protesters.

My lord, on days like these I start to wonder if Glenn Beck is onto something and it's the rest of us that are crazy.

They're in Los Angeles and our city council voted to support them with free lunches.  But that's what they're all after anyway, isn't it?

If we pay for something, we get more of it...I assume that hygiene products were not included in the council's largesse.
