Did you follow the bizarre breaking news story last night of the mass grave in Texas? Late in the day, the cable outlets and various news sites started running with a story about how officials had located a mass grave in a yard in Texas, filled with two dozen or more dismembered bodies, including those of children
But it turns out that the whole story could not have been more of a hoax. There was no mass grave, just a "tip" from a "psychic" about what the sheriff would find if he went to a particular address.
And the media have the audacity to rip on blogs? The psychic is now being investigated. I would like to investigate the geniuses who thought an anonymous tip from a psychic was probable cause.
If that works to launch an investigation into a private home, what in tarnation doesn't? Is there another story out there that does a better job of explaining the failures of big media and government overreach?

Re: Psychic Warns Of Either Dead Bodies Or Crabgrass. But Definitely One Or The Other.
Sadly, even FOX News reported on the rumor. But by the end of Special Report with Bret Baier, they were already reporting that neither the FBI nor any other authority confirmed the story.

I'm pretty certain the tip was provided by Anthony Weiner in a desperate attempt to draw attention away from his problems.

Just be thankful it wasn't Clinton twieting, or we'd already be out a few Tomahawk missiles to the tune of several hundred million bucks (again).

Re: Psychic Warns Of Either Dead Bodies Or Crabgrass. But Definitely One Or The Other.
A few years ago, a friend was robbed. When she suggested rather forcefully that the officers investigating might look for DNA evidence, finger prints, etc. she was told she had been watching too much TV and the real world didn't work that way.
It looks like the Texas Sheriff has been watching too much "Mentalist".
