Well this is scary. I see that the President is about to address the nation at 10:30 PM. I can't recall such short notice, much less such a late hour, for a presidential address to the nation. I pray that whatever news he has to share with us is not too bad and that everything is under control.

Okay, with 10 minutes to go, my mind is racing. I hope it's NOT about us launching war against Syria or about someone dying (such as Joe Biden). I hope it's not about an imminent terror threat.
Is it too much to hope it's good news about Osama? Just praying and trying not to be so worried.

Paris, I'm with you. I live in DC and my 3-year-old is traveling with her grandparents right now. So of course my mind is just racing ....

Bin Laden gone arguably hurts Obama politically in 2012 since it further shifts the election to domestic matters; yes, it happened on his watch, but since the American military got him, I'm not sure how much Obama gains from that.

Larry Sabato, on the NRO blog, is saying that this will be a huge lift for Obama now and in 2012. Let's hope that he is wrong.
