Huma Abedin

To discover that your husband is a perverted e-philanderer just after having learned that you're expecting -- now that is a most unenviable position in which to find yourself.

Ms. Abedin, 35, is in the early stages of pregnancy, according to three people with knowledge of the situation.

The pregnancy, which the couple has disclosed to close friends and family, adds a new dimension to questions about the future of their marriage.

My condolences to Huma Abedin.  This news makes the Weiner scandal less funny, and all the more tragic.

It is certainly an unenviable position, but like her boss, she has a brighter political future than her husband.

It is disturbing that she now knows she could have done better.  On the other hand, she wouldn't have given that loser the time of day if he weren't a member of Congress.

Double post. Sorry. But, while I'm here - I'm so sorry for Mrs. Weiner.

Oh, a new word "e-pervert". Most of the time it could read (H)e-pervert, I'm sure.  I have a question though, about the women involved, it seems everytime there is a story about a Congress(man) like this the women involved come out of the woodwork very ready to talk about how awful a person they've been cooresponding with when they should be looking in the mirror.  I am reasonably sure that each of them knew he was a married man. Where are their morals?

Take note that Weiner began his social network escapades in September '10, one month after he was married.

I have zero sympathy for her.  She's a leftist opportunist who long ago decided to hitch her wagon to one Democrat star or another.

Bad hitch, baby.  Live with it.

Taking a wrecking ball to the innocents around you--sort of a metaphor for the entire progressive project, now that I think of it.

Very sad.

I think we're using the term "perverted" a bit loosely.  He seems to have rather conventional tastes.  "Oversexed" may be more appropriate, or perhaps "horndogging".

But, um, yeah.  This, this, is just not good.  I don't quite get the irresistable charm of Anthony Weiner.  It eludes me.  But it clearly exists.  May have to revise the plan to keep Weiner around for tactical and tormenting purposes.  Just resign, please.  Better that way.

I'm sure Mrs. Weiner is a good leftist, like her husband.  The tragedy is not just that her husband is a pervert, but just as bad, he is a man of such dishonest, low character, immaturity, arrogance and poor judgment and the father of her child.  I may disagree entirely with her politics, but I still feel very sorry for her.  At least she and Hillary can commiserate.

I may a feel a twinge for the wife of Weiner, but I won't stop making jokes.  Maybe he has some hidden charm that somehow eluded me, but she married the dude. She can dump him if she wants.  It's not like democrats (or anybody else) looks down on single mothers these days.

Take him to the cleaners, Huma.  I hear Maria (Shriver) Schwarzenegger knows a good divorce lawyer.

For all of the comedy the Weiner story is generating, it really is a Shakespearean tragedy.

"Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and howlet's wing,--
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble."

Call me whatever, but I just can't believe this woman isn't aware, on some level, of what her husband has been doing. How could it escape her radar if she knows him at all? As one of the young women he interacted with said, he has real impulse control issues. That's not something you can hide. It's probably why he rages at everything. I suspect that the really interesting facet of this story is not Weiner himself, but the marriage.

Mrs. Weiner (Not to be confused with Mrs. Potato Head) walked into a political marriage with her eyes open. I feel sorry for the kid. Imagine living with that legacy.

I'm thinking "Asses are made to bear, and so are you" (from The Taming of the Shrew) would be more appropriate.

So, are they gonna raise the kid Jewish, Muslim, or Secular Liberal?
