Please Support the "American Jobs Act"

Today, President Obama asked the crowd in Raleigh to please support this act, if they love him.
If that is not enough, please be aware that neither Obama, nor any Democrat in the congress has filed any such bill, so Representative Louis Gohmert of Texas has taken it upon himself to file the bill.
It is very important that we get behind Rep. Gohmert and President Obama and "Pass This Bill".
Thank you in advance, for your efforts.

Re: Please Support the "American Jobs Act"
Wow!! The GOP actually does have a few cajones distributed among the male members. I'm on his bandwagon.

Re: Please Support the "American Jobs Act"
Ray, cajones are boxes, you mean cojones.
Now get your cojones out of their cajones and call your representative and ask them to please support the American Jobs Act!
If your representative is a Democrat, please tell them that they will do this if they love him, his words, in N.C., today.
It's the least you can do. It would probably be patriotic.

It rare moments such as this that keep me from deciding the GOP are completely beyond hope, Pass This Bill!

I'm proud to say that that man is my congressional representative. It's so refreshing living in a district where I actually LIKE the politicians who represent me.

Cajas are boxes. Cajones are drawers. :)
Re: Please Support the "American Jobs Act"
I heartily support the American Jobs Act of 2011 (HR 2911). One of the best things about it is that it's only two pages! All it does is abolish the corporate income tax. Sounds like a job creator to me!

Forgive the typo. Cojones, onions, balls, any way you spell it, it means a real man... just like Sarah and Michelle.

Re: Please Support the "American Jobs Act"
Delicious, if for no other reason than that it highlights the fact that no Democrat has even introduced Obama's bill that is so, so important that we must pass it now!!!

Re: Please Support the "American Jobs Act"
Although on the one hand this is a move rife with sarcasm in the hallowed halls of government, you have to give Representative Louis Gohmert his due; he was looking for the bill he was supposed to pass, saw there was nothing filed, and so he thought he'd do his bipartisan duty and help out. This does nothing to help the approval numbers for Congressional efficiency but it's going to keep me smiling all weekend. I wonder if the new "first to file" goes into effect on HR bills (he asks knowing that there is no connection between the two)?

Re: Please Support the "American Jobs Act"
Regarding the substance, if they really want American jobs, the bill might look a little bit different,
They could make the tax rate equal at 17% (matching China avoids some political theater about evil corporations, blah blah), but then also:
1) Repeal Dodd-Frank and most of SOx
2) Repeal Davis-Bacon
3) Override the state union shop laws for any contracted work utilizing federal funds
4) Suspend all ObamaCare implementation until after SCOTUS has ruled.
5) Suspend all new EPA rules back to 1/20/2009

I posted this several days ago and that explains dated references.
However, I am aghast at Diane's correction and want to make clear that I never wish to see Ray take his cojones out of his drawers!

My wife and lover Linda could not agree more heartily!

Re: Please Support the "American Jobs Act"
This is possibly the most brilliant political tactic of the decade.
I don't know what they're putting in the water down in Texas, but they need to spike all of Congress' water with it.
