Palin's new book, America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag, is set to hit bookstands this November. Though news of her second book is a few months old, HarperCollins, Palin's publisher, recently released the cover image for the book. What do you think of the cover?

According to HarperCollins, Palin will tackle American history, current events, and culture in the book, while she reflects on the "key values" that shaped her life and outlook.

Written in her own refreshingly candid voice, America By Heart will include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her-from the nation’s founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography, and even some of her favorite songs and movies. Here, too, are portraits of some of the extraordinary men and women she admires and who embody her deep love of country, her strong rootedness in faith, and her profound love and appreciation of family.

Isn't the "America and me" book about #2 on the presidential campaign preparation list? Maybe #3. It's starting to look like a plan.

I think you guys are right--I was skeptical that Palin was going to run, but all the indicators that she WILL seem to be falling in place.

Oh, she's running. And even Arianna Huffington admits she's be much more formidable than the Left is prepared for. I'm very nervous, despite my admiration for her. While I think she'd make a very capable president...I'm not certain about her as a candidate. That said, I'd be willing to bet this sells more copies in the first two days than "Dreams of My Father" sold in its first year...

The cover is gorgeous. I'm convinced she will run.

This truly proves Palin is the devil incarnate. Look at the picture, LOOK AT IT...can't you see the horns coming out of her head? Is that drool dripping off the corner of her mouth? And then there is this, " America By Heart will include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her-from the nation’s founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography, and even some of her favorite songs and movies." There you go. It is re-established with utter certainty ( just ask one of the frequent commenters here on this very site) that she has never had an original thought. What a lightweight!

Oh, wait a minute. Never mind, I thought I was at the Daily Cause website.

She does present an appealing demeanor.

Here is what I am tempted to say about SP cuz of the way she is described & protrayed in the MSM and by some on the so called conservative side. She is gorgeous, media savy, super intelligent,in touch with qday Americans, accomplished and now rich and soon to be wealthy, she has done it all and is it,but because of all that she is too good to be true and when election time comes around does she really have what it takes to take on policy issues,is she schooled enough on the world to handle the debates, etc, etc,so I am afraid she won't win so lets nominate Pawlenty or Mitt because well they look great in a suit and they are good centrists and we will let Mitt's Mass HC debacle and Pro Life F/F be forgotten about cuz we need a nominee that can win.And the same could be said about other "contenders."

Here is what I actually think, she is gorgeous, media savy, super intelligent, in touch with qday Americans, accomplished, experienced, has a grasp of the issues, knows what she wants for her and hers and the country and now rich and soon to be wealthy, she has done it all and is all of it. There is a history lesson here. People said the same things about Reagan and maybe even worse. Too old, stupid, simple, he's a B actor, etc, etc. And yet what happened two landslides, 20 years of Post RR prosperity, and plenty. I believe that many of the people who now worship at the foot of the RR statue were some of the same people, who are supposedly on our side, that were mean to RR, who said he couldn't win, etc, etc. While I recognize that SP doesn't have the disarming unattractiveness of Maggie Thatcher, and that may cause problems, so what, get over it. Man up you Metrosexuals, and feminien up you pant suit wearing mascu-felins, she can win. That is if she is willing to give up her day job of "King Maker."

I would vote for her for Mayor. I would vote for her for Governor. But I wouldn't vote for her for President. I don't think she has the breadth of vision or experience (despite her view of Russia). Her intuitive understanding of local politics is outstanding though. She vibrates sympathetically to the rhythms of America.

outstrippI don't think she has the breadth of vision or experience (despite her view of Russia).

She has and still has more executive experience than the majority of the elected representatives in congress and certainly had more than the rest of the people running for President and VP combined. Why is everyone who says they like her so afraid to take the next step? Are you afraid you won't be invited to the right parties, expelled from your C. Club, what is it with you Blue Bloods out there that keep gravitating towards the Nixonian wing of the Republican Party? It's not that complicated. All the people like D. Brooks and D. Frum are still going to look down their noses at u & not like u. When I say U I am speaking generically. It's easy. We just need someone who is willing to stand up for liberty, like personal property and the ability to seek out our own "...pursuit of happiness."

Oh by the way the Russia thing is continuely perpetuated but it's false Tina Fey said that on SNL not SP.
