Opulent Homes of the 99 Percent

Folks at the Daily Caller have done some excellent sleuthing. They looked through the arrest records of the 984 people arrested at the New York City Protests, and they have posted photos of some of the homes of the arrestees. Some are living quite well.

I'm sure the protesters in Egypt have similar abodes. I mean, with the luxury the protesters are used to, the jails probably seem relatively worse. And everything's relative, right?

The houses look like the owners have employees. Perhaps the protestors are live-in employees rather than owners' kids. Maids, cooks, gardeners, stable boys etc.

A lot of the more radical liberal crowd does pretty well working for various well funded leftist causes, government, think tanks, unions, non-profits (which are usually run for the benefit of their managers), and universities. A decent number of the arestees probably list the residence of their parents as their address if they are college student types.

Maybe you don't get it. They are hardly ashamed of this revelation.
Leftists are sanctimonious. The more privileged you are, the greater your sacrifice. It is the cloth of the elitist, worn on his sleeve.

Re: Opulent Homes of the 99 Percent
It would be more interesting had they posted the names and addresses. Could it be disenfranchised kids or professional agitators. The homes look very nice but if the case were of the former then it could feed the cause, of the latter it would reveal how the weak minded in the streets are being played for a political cause.
I doubt that the common folks would appreciate the tail wagging them but I also doubt that they would be able to shake off their denial. Heck, most of the educated democrats I know wouldn't believe this even if they were handed certified copies of the arrest records and copies of the tax receipts of these addresses.
It is unfortunate to be sure but it seems that the level of discourse has de-evolved to the point where it's going to have to take a lot more than meer evidence in fact to change course.
